The last time "Stagflation" was part of the American lexicon, how did the incumbent President fare electorally?

X-President Carter Lost in a landslide to the positive thinking President Ronnie...people like to hear some good news with positive tones...after elected though a president must make good on some of his sayings...needs to be more than just "yes we can". Same could happen to Obama if only there becomes a forceful positive man to run against Obammy....the voters are waiting
