Why's he bring like this?

Okay so one minute he's standing next to me & playfully hitting me over the head with a ruler and teasing me about my work (in a nice way). Then he's inorging me. Then he's staring at me. Then he's inorging me again. Does he hate me? Like me? ARGH. help please? :(
